Words between us
aren’t always words.
Between us is child song,
a spiral binder full
of empty pages,
love spit,
butchered water,
a rain-soaked
unreadable recipe,
cheese dreams,
a tourniquet of concrete,
a haunted closet.
Between us
there is no room
for words.
